Artist Sophia Shuvalova will lead this art workshop exploring Mousehold Heath as a place of both historical and ecological significance. We will walk through the heath, stopping to sketch in a variety of locations while exploring its history and natural environment, thinking

Artist Sophia Shuvalova will lead this art workshop exploring Mousehold Heath as a place of both historical and ecological significance. We will walk through the heath, stopping to sketch in a variety of locations while exploring its history and natural environment, thinking about the landscape as layers of history embedded within the ground. Participants will engage with the location through drawing and mapping the area, looking at both the history and ecology of Mousehold Heath.

The impressive history of this building provides the starting point for this drawing workshop. We will look at the architecture of the period, as well as work by artists who have been inspired by the Guildhall. Artist Sophia Shuvalova will lead this workshop where we will delve into the historical heart of the city of Norwich and spark our creativity.
